Lehigh Hanson, Inc. is pleased to announce that five of its cement plants have earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency鈥檚 (EPA鈥檚) prestigious ENERGY STAR certification for 2017. The company鈥檚 cement manufacturing plants in Leeds, Ala., Union Bridge, Md., Buda, Texas, Redding, Calif. and Waco, Texas, all perform within the top 25 percent of cement plants nationwide for energy efficiency and meet strict energy efficiency performance levels set by the EPA. This is the fourth consecutive year the Union Bridge plant has received ENERGY STAR certification and the third consecutive year for the Leeds plant.
